Golf cart fight over love triangle leads to attempted murder arrest

LADY LAKE, Florida — A love triangle in a Florida retirement community devolved into a physical fight and stabbing that led to the arrest of a 42-year-old man and the airlifting of the victim. It happened Saturday night in The Villages when the victim, a 39-year-old man, got into a physical fight with William Tyler Warren. During a night out at Spanish Springs Town Square, a woman and her ex-boyfriend, the victim, were on a golf cart near Veterans Memorial Park in Lady Lake.

OVIEDO, Florida (WESH) — The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office is searching for the suspect behind the vandalism of a historic museum in Oviedo. Deputies said they received a call about graffiti on the Historic Oviedo Colored Schools Museum just before 9 a.m. Sunday. The graffiti included the racist “SS lightning bolts” symbol and hateful, explicit language.
Residents call for increased safety measures after deadly Lake County crashes

People in Lake County are demanding changes following a string of several deadly crashes in a matter of weeks in the areas of state Road 44 and county roads 42 and 439. A petition circulating has garnered more than 600 signatures in a matter of days and is calling on local and state leaders to ramp up traffic enforcement and deploy other techniques, such as rumble strips and signage.
